Benelli Breast Lift
Why get a mastopexy? The Benelli breast lift is a special breast lift technique of breast lift intended to lift smaller breasts with less sagging, through the areola. This decreases breast lift risk, with slightly lower breast lift cost.
The Benelli breast lift, or Benelli Mastopexy, results in only a scar around the areola. In cases where the nipple has to be moved a long distance, or when the skin is very loose, an additional vertical scar or crease scar will be made. Over time the scars will fade and flatten, causing no aesthetic issues for the patient.
Benelli Lift
The Benelli lift is considered to be less invasive than a traditional breast lift. When the piece of tissue around the areola border is excised, the surrounding tissue is carefully sutured to the areola. Those incisions are closed with purse string sutures and at times a little more tissue may be removed above the areola to allow for a lifting effect when it is sutured. This results in a flatter, rounder breast shape, with minimal scarring. The procedure is usually performed on an outpatient basis under local anesthesia with sedation.
Patients are able to return to work within one week and have reported that it may take up to one year for the full effect to be seen.
Why Get A Mastopexy?
A breast lift is a good option for you if you’re healthy and maintain a stable weight, don’t smoke, you have realistic expectations, you are bothered by the feeling that your breasts sag, have lost their shape and volume, your breasts have a flatter, elongated shape or are saggy. Other things that may make you feel you want a mastoplexy include if your breasts are unsupported, and your nipples end up below the breast crease, or your nipples and areolas point downward, or you have stretched skin and enlarged areolas, or you have one breast lower than the other.
Breast Lift Risk
As with any surgery, there is risk of complications. Infection or adverse reactions to anesthesia are a danger. Excessive bleeding can happen. After healing, some permanent scarring can remain. When the surgical team takes proper precautions, complications are typically minimized or prevented.
Breast Lift Cost
Costs vary over a wide range depending on a great many variables. These include the skill and reputation of the surgeon, the region where the surgeon is located, the type and extent of the procedure, and various other factors. It is impossible to give an accurate idea of how much it will cost. About 93,000 breast lift procedures were performed in 2005, according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
